I’m Lydia Mark — a Nigerian writer, budding journalist, editor, and social impact storyteller exploring the sharp edges and tender truths of gender, technology, and changemaking.
I work at the intersection of feminism, digital technologies, and social transformation. I write to name silences, influence change, archive resistance, and reclaim narratives — especially those often erased or overlooked in social, cultural, and policy contexts.
On this page, you’ll find essays that blend personal experience with critical reflection — spanning feminist thought, identity and belonging, technology, policy, mental health, digital equity, social commentary, and more.
I am the Founder and Executive Director of DigiFem Global, a social impact initiative dedicated to closing the digital gender divide. I’m also a Chatham House Common Futures Fellow and a passionate advocate for inclusive policymaking, digital inclusion, and youth leadership in Africa and beyond.
My career sits at the intersection of tech, media, and advocacy: I’m currently training in Cloud and Cybersecurity, while transitioning my background in media and communications into technical writing, developer advocacy, and content strategy — with a soft spot for APIs and open-source documentation.
I believe stories are tools for survival, and writing is both a weapon and a balm.
Welcome to my world — where rage, clarity, and hope coexist.
